Supper in Bangkok ;)

There is so much food to eat around the clock. Since I was staying in a service apartment, I decided to have a eat in supper from take away food ;) These are some cup cakes and banoffee pie from Gourmet Market :D

Also from Gourmet Market, this colourful creps rolls are really yummy and look great too right?

Traditional Mango glutenous rice with modern presentation ;) Again from GM

This Blue dumpling is not from GM, but from Cabbage and Condoms a restuarant founded by the condom king of Thailand. This place serve beautiful and yummy Thai dishes and the dumpling is one of their highlights. Yum....

Grilled banana on the street, a Bangkok delicatecy but honestly not my favourite. It green banana grilled and deep in honey or caramel.

You might wonder what is the lady doing? Peking Duck in Bangkok? Its a great promotion, 280 Baths for one whole duck including the crepes and another dish.

2nd Trip in Bangkok June 2007

13 June 2007, AirAsia Flight AK 880 took me to Bangkok.

In Bangkok I checked in to Citadines, at Sukhumvit 16. Its a very nice service apartment hotel. I have a studio to myself and this is the lobby :D

Patthai, my favourite rice noodle dish this time round in Bangkok. Before this I always love the trotter. I still like it but this time didn't get to eat it a lot. If you wanna have it, go to the Food Hall Food Court at Siam Paragon. It comes with a soft centre stewed egg.

Sago meat balls and steam dumplings. These delicate snacks can be found in many Bangkok's food courts and street malls. The steam dumpling is a bit like Hong Kong "chi cheong fun" and Vietnamese pancake except its is mould into a dumpling shape instead of long roll. As for sage meat balls, it is a carameled nut and meat filling wrapped with little sagos.

This is one of my favourite shop in Siam Paragon, its a modern deco spice shop call "Spice Store". It has a little cafe and served spiced and Asian flavoured ice cream.

End of June 2007

Relaxing Sunday

The week has been productive considering I was on medication and MC ;) If my boss is reading this, she should be pleased ;) haha

For a busy and week, I think I have done pretty well on dining out. Was at Tony Roma's @ Cineleisure on Tuesday, Puteri @ TTDI on Wednesday and Fasta Pasta @ Ikano Power Station on Thursday ;) Friday night Teh Tarik Place @ Curve.

I mentioned about Tony Roma's on their first day. Puteri is a new place for me. Its at the end of the road at TTDI towards Penchala Link, I think the food is quite good and reasonably price if you bring overseas visitors. It serves local Malay cuisine. Accordingly it is pretty crowded for lunch. Check out what we had for RM80+ (Actually there are few more dishes)

Fasta Pasta is one of those odd places, it doesn't really stick to my mind for a great restaurant but the paste has been consistenly nice. Slightly on the expensive side. But its authentic and aromatic :D Worth a go if you have craving for pasta and wanna bring a date, cos it is normally not too crowded. Dont you think this paste look great.

Teh Tarik Place is new I think, just realise it on Friday.... CLEAN Mamak and it open til 11+ so if you are at the Curve should stop by and check it out. I really wanted to try the Roti, it looks good but I have eaten too much Dougnuts ;) Let you know when I have tasted it :D

(Big Apple Donut & Coffee @ Curve)
So what did I do on Sunday? I work up as usual, went to Siam Fair at Plaza Damas, lucky was there early before the crowded. Lots of plenty nice Thai food ranging from RM3 -5. They also have my favourate Thai Pancake :D RM 5 for 10 pcs. After that walk around, went to OKT Ampang Waterfront for the opening.
And headed to the Kaya Kopitiam at Restoran Jejantas at Sungain Buloh. Heard so much about the place, but it was a bit of the disappointment. The kaya is canned but nicely serve. The bread is nice tho.

Stay tune for more...... bed time tonite :D

Nightmare after MC

Drama drama..... What a day? Yesterday was my first day of the week as I took MC on Monday.

Was not feeling well and still on medication. Working on very low capacity... and make mistakes like I will never do but some of you who know me might think otherwise ;) Major mistake number one.... book a AirAsia ticket for a exhibition in May... suppose to return on 26, I booked it for 28, I blame in on my medication... but who knows... haha.

To top that I decide to try out Tony Roma's at Damansara Cineleisure on their FIRST DAY. Guess it was accepted to get poor service on the first day but the place was crowded. Overall rating 3/5, average place but deserved a second chance. I dont even pay to go one of my outlets on the first day but I went to someone else and paid good money and suffer ;) Guess I can blame it on my medication :D

Hope all have a nice day... will update again soon.
