Is forex trading for me ?

What you should know about Forex ?

Before you make any commitment to begin trading, I believe you musthonestly ask yourself, "Is forex trading for me?" Many programs willtell you anyone can make money trading the currency markets. But thereality is, for most, failure is inevitable. Why do so many people fail at trading? The short answer is - no training. 90% of trading is psychological; the other 10% is technical knowledge. So your successis based on how you approach becoming a trader. Here are the three primary reasons why those who pursue trading fail:

Lack of commitment.
Lack of knowledge.
Their egos get in the way.

Traders who don't address these issues will not survive. Statistics show this to be true.

Commitment:
Commitment is critical. Most become frustrated because they do not realize instant success. In fact this holds true in any new pursuit. The average person quits early in the game solely because of lack of commitment and unrealistic expectation of immediate success.

Knowledge:
Lack of knowledge, which is a major cause of failure, is a result ofan individual's attitude. How anyone thinks they can trade the currency market without professional training amazes me. Yet it happens all the time. People who accept that golf lessons arenecessary before they head out onto the course will start trading withlittle or no knowledge. Because you are reading this I assume you donot share that view. This is a major step in the right direction. Most traders fail to appreciate the level of skill needed to trade successfully. They have no foundation in how to understand priceactivity. They do not have a set of rules or guidelines. It is amazinghow many individuals develop a trading strategy by gleaning freeinformation off the internet. In actuality, all these individuals aredoing is gambling. Another common mistake is gathering too much information. It is statistically proven that if you narrow your focus, you have a higher probability of success. It is critical at this juncture not to confuse information with knowledge.

Ego:
Ego is one of the greatest enemies to a trader's success. Your egoneeds to win all the time and wants to win now. It can't stand being wrong. And so it rationalizes events and denies reality. You must beable to perceive the market as it is, not how you want to believe itis. But it is difficult to clearly see price action if your ego is inthe way. Ego makes us take small profits but large losses. It argues that even a small profit is a win. But a loss hurts and instead ofaccepting a small loss we try and get it back. Ego is why we hold on to bad trades that end up being even bigger losing trades. Without action, knowledge is useless. Massive action is the key to realsuccess. Many begin with great enthusiasm but become easilydisillusioned.

I didn't know what I dont know :)

Two months passed by and I guess I broke the rule of keep writing :D Now I am motivated again, so I am back ;)

What have I done in the past 60 days? For those of you who have not bump into me yet, I have changed dramatically over the past 2 months :)

Let's start physical! I lost 8 Kgs and 4" off my waist. Feeling great and didn't know how I can live with the extras before. hahaha... Now I go to gym at least 3 times a week and my next mile stone is to get six packs in about 10 weeks time :D I think it would be such a life changing experience when I see it hahaha.... as I have never had six pack before.

I have also became a seminar junkie and if you are a sceptic, trust me they WORK :) I have learned FOREX, Money Management, Emotional Freedom and MORE. I think if you learn from the best, you will be the BEST faster then just reading it. The ENERGY is really very different. And if you think I am nuts, my reply is "I am the one living the life I wanted now so who's the NUT now?" I have never imagine or know a way that I can make a lot of money quickly. Now I do :D better still, I also know how to manage it :D I am grateful to all my teachers/mentors and was glad that I have the opportunities to learn from their experiences.

My realisations:
  1. Our mind and the universe is so powerful, it REALLY can bring ANYTHING into our life.
  2. RESPECT others as they are always doing their BEST at that MOMENT in TIME.
  3. ENERGY is everything, so feeling GOOD is key to living well :)
  4. FEAR is an illusion and we have to look beyond FEAR and removal of it is enlightening but you have to learn some skills after that. For example, if you can imagine I used to drive 120 KM/h now I drive 160 KM/h, not sure if that is safe so I am learning :D
  5. CONFIDENCE to trust my feelings/emotions are true to the moment and feeling the freedom as I don't carry my emotions around. Now, I understood what emotional burden is and I realised that by clearing this burden, it helps me to stay focus and learn better.
  6. Thoughts lead to Feelings lead to Actions lead to RESULTS.
  7. MONEY MANAGEMENT is key to financial freedom.
  8. How you do ANYTHING is how you do EVERYTHING. (So don't fall asleep on the wheels)
I really believe I have changed. Do let me know what you think when we meet :)

Before I end this post, I also would like to say, "The Secret" and the vision board work, I have attracted all these great teachers and mentors to my life. Thank you :)

To all, "WE have the gift to CREATE"

2nd Trip in Bangkok June 2007

13 June 2007, AirAsia Flight AK 880 took me to Bangkok.

In Bangkok I checked in to Citadines, at Sukhumvit 16. Its a very nice service apartment hotel. I have a studio to myself and this is the lobby :D

Patthai, my favourite rice noodle dish this time round in Bangkok. Before this I always love the trotter. I still like it but this time didn't get to eat it a lot. If you wanna have it, go to the Food Hall Food Court at Siam Paragon. It comes with a soft centre stewed egg.

Sago meat balls and steam dumplings. These delicate snacks can be found in many Bangkok's food courts and street malls. The steam dumpling is a bit like Hong Kong "chi cheong fun" and Vietnamese pancake except its is mould into a dumpling shape instead of long roll. As for sage meat balls, it is a carameled nut and meat filling wrapped with little sagos.

This is one of my favourite shop in Siam Paragon, its a modern deco spice shop call "Spice Store". It has a little cafe and served spiced and Asian flavoured ice cream.

End of June 2007

Helloooo again, if you guys are wondering what has happen to me? The answer is simple.... WORK. I have been doing lots of traveling for work for the past 1 and half months. So there is lots of nice food, photoes and long days and nites.

I was in Bangkok twice, a week in JB & Singapore, and a week in Penang. I will add separate entries to tell you more about each of these destinations.

Time flies and its time to check our half yearly goals and set new ones for the next 6 months :D Personally, I have not achieve much over the past year. I think its time for me to reawaken the giant within to work out some miracles ;) I am interested in any business opportunities that makes lots of money and help people :D hahaha

Relaxing Sunday

The week has been productive considering I was on medication and MC ;) If my boss is reading this, she should be pleased ;) haha

For a busy and week, I think I have done pretty well on dining out. Was at Tony Roma's @ Cineleisure on Tuesday, Puteri @ TTDI on Wednesday and Fasta Pasta @ Ikano Power Station on Thursday ;) Friday night Teh Tarik Place @ Curve.

I mentioned about Tony Roma's on their first day. Puteri is a new place for me. Its at the end of the road at TTDI towards Penchala Link, I think the food is quite good and reasonably price if you bring overseas visitors. It serves local Malay cuisine. Accordingly it is pretty crowded for lunch. Check out what we had for RM80+ (Actually there are few more dishes)

Fasta Pasta is one of those odd places, it doesn't really stick to my mind for a great restaurant but the paste has been consistenly nice. Slightly on the expensive side. But its authentic and aromatic :D Worth a go if you have craving for pasta and wanna bring a date, cos it is normally not too crowded. Dont you think this paste look great.

Teh Tarik Place is new I think, just realise it on Friday.... CLEAN Mamak and it open til 11+ so if you are at the Curve should stop by and check it out. I really wanted to try the Roti, it looks good but I have eaten too much Dougnuts ;) Let you know when I have tasted it :D

(Big Apple Donut & Coffee @ Curve)
So what did I do on Sunday? I work up as usual, went to Siam Fair at Plaza Damas, lucky was there early before the crowded. Lots of plenty nice Thai food ranging from RM3 -5. They also have my favourate Thai Pancake :D RM 5 for 10 pcs. After that walk around, went to OKT Ampang Waterfront for the opening.
And headed to the Kaya Kopitiam at Restoran Jejantas at Sungain Buloh. Heard so much about the place, but it was a bit of the disappointment. The kaya is canned but nicely serve. The bread is nice tho.

Stay tune for more...... bed time tonite :D
